I have developed and taught undergraduate and graduate courses on the international politics of the Global South, international security, and international law and order.

My teaching practice emphasizes promoting informed dialogues. I use course content to help students explore contrasting approaches to complex political issues and engage with multiple perspectives. I rely on methods that encourage them to voice their opinions and respect differences.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes that informed conversations are central to politics. I create syllabi that integrate Western and non-Western, mainstream and critical authors, fostering dialogue between traditional and unconventional views in international politics.

I received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019 from the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences at Johns Hopkins University in recognition of my commitment and excellence in teaching and thanks to my students’ nomination and support.
